Notes
African spear plant (Dracaena angolensis) is a succulent for containers, specimen planting, and accents. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to average, sandy soil. Its cylindrical leaves stand upright and give it an architectural look. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It grows slowly and stays easy to keep.
Pairs well with Blanket flower, Mexican sunflower, and Creosote bush.
