Notes

'Americana Red' zonal geranium (Pelargonium hybridum 'Americana Red') is a perennial for borders and containers. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It stays evergreen, tolerates drought, and needs little care. Blooms appear from early to late summer and again from early to late autumn.

Pairs well with Angelonia, Lemon grass, and Natchez crape myrtle.
