Notes

Pepper (Capsicum annuum) is a vegetable for food gardens, borders, and annual beds. It is typically grown as an annual. It is tender to cold, and the first hard frost will kill it. This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. White flowers open from early to late summer and again in early autumn, and birds visit the plant.

Pairs well with Borage, Watermelon, and Bible hyssop.
