Notes
Bogbean (Menyanthes trifoliata) is a perennial for pollinator gardens and low maintenance planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and moist to wet, loamy or clay soil. Star-like white flowers rise on stout stalks above shiny leaves with three oval leaflets. Bees visit the blooms in spring and summer.
Pairs well with Broadleaf arrowhead, Cranberry, and Culver’s root.
