Notes

British yellowhead (Inula japonica) is a perennial for low maintenance beds and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Yellow flowers open from early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Ornamental onion, and Purple loosestrife.
