Notes

Butterfly flag (Dietes bicolor) is a bulb for borders, containers, and pond edges. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. Each light yellow flower has dark brown blotches and lasts only two days. New blooms keep replacing them in bursts every two weeks.

Pairs well with Umbrella plant, Dragon Wing Red begonia, Great Silence dahlia, and Cycad.
