Notes
Canadian waterweed (Elodea canadensis) is a perennial for garden ponds and aquariums. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and moist soil. It oxygenates garden ponds and gives shelter to small fishes and aquatic invertebrates. It can become invasive if grown in rich soil, so keep it contained. White flowers appear in summer and autumn.
Pairs well with Reed grass and Great burnet.
