Notes
'Cara Cara' navel orange (Citrus 'Cara Cara') is a fruit tree for food gardens, containers, borders, and accents. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The orange is grown for sweet, juicy, low acid fruit with reddish pink flesh. It is grafted onto semi-dwarfing rootstock, which keeps the tree smaller.
Pairs well with Guava, Rosemary, Thyme, and Dark Opal basil.
