Notes

'Carolyn Whorton' angel wings (Caladium bicolor 'Carolyn Whorton') is a bulb for borders, containers, and shade gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, loamy soil. Its glossy, arrow-shaped leaves have pink and green spots, red veins, and a green edge. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. You can save the corms over winter and plant them again in spring.

Pairs well with Taro, Staghorn fern, Bitter ginger, and Dragon Wing Red begonia.
