Notes

Creeping zinnia (Sanvitalia procumbens) is an annual for borders, rock gardens, ground cover, and annual beds. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy soil. It stays 3 to 6 inches tall and spreads 9 to 18 inches wide. Yellow to orange-yellow petals surround dark purple-brown centers. Bees visit the flowers, and the plant handles dry spells well.

Pairs well with Melampodium, Supertunia Bordeaux petunia, Candy Stripe moss phlox, and Red fescue.
