Notes

Eastern poison ivy (Toxicodendron radicans) is a shrub for woodland areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows as a ground cover, an erect shrub, or a large vine on trees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Its fall foliage turns orange to deep red.

Pairs well with Cinnamon fern, Red trillium, and Swamp azalea.
