Notes

False babystars (Leptosiphon androsaceus) is an annual for borders and low maintenance gardens. This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. It grows about 12 inches tall on mostly erect stems. Phlox-like flowers open in dense heads in white, pink, yellow, or purple. They bloom in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies visit the blooms, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Ladybird poppy, Purple needle grass, and Sea lavender.
