Notes

'Firmament' cynoglossum (Cynoglossum amabile 'Firmament') is an annual for borders, cut flower gardens, and cottage gardens. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Its blue flowers rise on rounded plants that reach 24 to 36 inches tall. Bees visit the blooms, and the stems make a fine cut flower.

Pairs well with California poppy, Gaura, and Japanese forest grass.
