Notes

Fringed brome (Bromus ciliatus) is a grass for meadow plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet soil. It is a cool-season grass that forms a clump. The drooping florets give it an oat-like look. It often grows alongside conifers such as cedars.

Pairs well with Royal fern, Cinnamon fern, Balsam fir, and Pickerel weed.
