Notes
Giant Himalayan lily (Cardiocrinum giganteum) is a perennial for the border. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. Until it flowers, it looks like a large shiny hosta. Rich soil gives you taller flowering stems, so pile on compost every year. Protect the newly emerging leaves from slugs.
Pairs well with Golden male fern, Primrose, and Siebold's hosta.
