Notes
'Kiko's Crump' okra (Abelmoschus manihot 'Kiko's Crump') is a vegetable for the food garden, grown for leaves you can use fresh in salads or cook like spinach. It is typically grown as an annual. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full or part sun. It takes over when spinach and lettuce bolt in early summer, and the pale yellow flowers open from early to late summer. The large leaves can grow as big as a slice of bread.
Pairs well with Habanero habanero pepper, Holy basil, and Cleopatra canna.
