Notes
'Kontiki' freesia (Freesia 'Kontiki') is a bulb for cut flower use and specimen planting. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant flowers open in early to late summer. Inside, they are red with a lemon yellow throat, and the outside is burnt orange. J.M. Richon bred it in 1984.
Pairs well with Creme de Cassis dahlia, Tuscan Blue rosemary, and Lemon grass.
