Notes

Lotus vine (Lotus maculatus) is a perennial for containers, ground cover, and low maintenance gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and it draws butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer tend to browse other plants first. The evergreen stems spread 24 to 36 inches.

Pairs well with Sunburst aeonium, Lipstick echeveria, Sea lavender, and Bindweed.
