Notes

Lovage (Levisticum officinale) is an herb for food gardens, borders, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fragrant clumps reach up to 71 inches tall and attract butterflies. Deer tend to pass it by. Give it plenty of room at the back of a bed.

Pairs well with Tomato, Beet/chard, and Basil.
