Notes

'Marine' common heliotrope (Heliotropium arborescens 'Marine') is an annual for containers, hanging baskets, borders, and cut flowers. It is typically grown as an annual. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The dark purple blooms smell like sweet baby powder and draw butterflies and bees. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Dragon Wing Red begonia, Lavender Perfection dahlia, and Bay tree.
