Notes

Parsnip (Pastinaca sativa) is a vegetable for food gardens and pollinator gardens. This plant likes full sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is drought tolerant. Yellow flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and bees visit them. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. The erect green plants grow at a moderate pace.

Pairs well with Carrot, Greek Oregano oregano, and Dense blazing star.
