Peace lily (Spathiphyllum wallisii) is a perennial for containers and low maintenance spots. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 11 and warmer, down to about 40°F (4°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It stays evergreen and grows 12 to 47 inches tall and wide.
