Notes

Persian buttercup (Ranunculus asiaticus) is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The flowers come in red, pink, purple, yellow, or white. They open from early to late spring and into early summer. Bees visit the blooms, and the stems work well in a vase.

Pairs well with Vermillionaire cuphea, Italian cypress, and Lion's tail.
