Notes
Prayer plant (Maranta leuconeura) is a perennial for containers, ground cover, and indoor spaces. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 11 and warmer, down to about 40°F (4°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. The green leaves have red veins. They fold up at night, which gives the plant its name.
Pairs well with Zebra plant, Boston fern, Cebu Blue pothos, and Zebra plant.
