Notes
Purple false foxglove (Agalinis purpurea) is an annual for borders, pollinator gardens, and low maintenance planting. This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to wet, sandy or loamy soil. Rose-purple, bell-shaped flowers open on short stalks along smooth, wiry stems. The throat of each bloom has dark spots inside. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Red fescue, Carolina geranium, and Indigo bush.
