Notes
Small venus looking-glass (Triodanis perfoliata) is an annual for pollinator gardens, woodlands, and meadows. This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Wheel-shaped, bluish to purple flowers sit singly in the leaf axils. Deer tend to pass it by. The flowers in the lower leaf axils do not open but still produce seeds. It can appear in any open spot, even in cultivated flower gardens.
Pairs well with Switchgrass, Great blue lobelia, and Big bluestem.
