Notes

String of watermelons (Senecio herreianus) is a succulent for containers, low maintenance gardens, and ground cover. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. Its trailing stems spread 12 to 24 inches and stay evergreen. The fragrant blooms draw bees.

Pairs well with Silver squill, Heavy Metal switchgrass, and Charisma amaryllis.
