Notes

Tamarisk (Tamarix ramosissima) is a shrub for hedges, low maintenance gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and reaches 10 to 15 feet tall with pink flowers that bees visit. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Ornamental onion, Little bluestem, and New England aster.
