Notes

Umbrella leaf (Podophyllum grayi) is a perennial for low maintenance gardens, ground cover, and woodland settings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms dense colonies, so give it room to spread. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and bears white flowers.

Pairs well with Shaggy wood fern, Royal fern, and Nikko Blue bigleaf hydrangea.
