Notes

'Wildfire' winterberry (Ilex verticillata 'Wildfire') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows in a dense, moderate habit and reaches about 71 to 83 inches tall. Birds visit it, and it asks for little care once settled.

Pairs well with Jim Dandy winterberry, Prairie dropseed, and Balsam fir.
