Notes
'Wintergold' freesia (Freesia 'Wintergold') is a bulb for cut flowers, specimen planting, and winter interest. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant flowers open in early to late summer. Inside, they are lemon yellow blotched with marigold orange, and the outer tube is lemon yellow with a purplish white vein.
Pairs well with Great Silence dahlia, Lemon grass, and Kimberly queen fern.
