Notes
African hyacinth (Ledebouria revoluta) is a bulb for containers, houseplants, and rock gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun. Its mid green leaves are spotted and edged with purple. Short spikes of lavender and green flowers appear from early to late summer, and the bulbs form colonies over time.
Pairs well with Paintbrush, Kimberly queen fern, and Crocus.
