Notes

American frogbit (Hydrocharis laevigata) is a perennial for ponds, water gardens, and wildlife gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist soil. It floats on slow-moving water and can also end up stranded along a shore. White and yellow flowers open in spring, summer, and autumn. Birds are drawn to it.

Pairs well with Blue star creeper, Wood sorrel, and Aureola Japanese forest grass.
