Notes
'Anna's Red' Lenten rose (Helleborus 'Anna's Red') is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The red blooms open in early to late winter and last into early to late spring. The leaves stay evergreen, so the clumps add color all year. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Common snowdrop, Siberian bugloss, Caramel coral bells, and Thalia daffodil.
