Notes
'Banana Melon' melon (Cucumis melo 'Banana Melon') is a vegetable for food gardens, containers, and borders. It is typically grown as an annual. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. The vines can reach 71 to 122 inches tall, so give them room or a sturdy support. Fragrant summer blooms from early to late summer draw butterflies and bees.
Pairs well with Borage, Nasturtium, African marigold, and Oregano.
