Notes

Bentham's monkeyflower (Erythranthe microphylla) is an annual for borders, woodland gardens, and meadows. This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide. Red, orange, and yellow flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Allegheny monkeyflower, Primrose, Hardy geranium, and California poppy.
