Notes
Bitterweed (Tetraneuris acaulis) is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Short leafless stalks rise from tufted basal leaves, and each one ends in a single yellow flower head. The plant is evergreen and tolerates drought, so it suits dry spots. Plants vary a lot, and some are hairy while others are nearly hairless.
Pairs well with Gold dust, Elfin mother of thyme, and Autumn moor grass.
