Notes

Gold dust (Aurinia saxatilis) is a perennial for rock gardens, containers, borders, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It sits low on the menu for deer. Yellow flowers cover the cascading mounds from early to late spring, and bees and butterflies visit them. The gray-green leaves stay on the plant all year.

Pairs well with Woolly yarrow, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Blue grama.
