Notes

Bog rosemary (Andromeda polifolia) is an evergreen shrub for borders, rain gardens, woodland gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy or loamy soil. The small, narrow leaves are blue-green, and their edges roll under. Pink or white bell-shaped flowers hang in small clusters at the branch tips and attract bees. Creeping rootstocks form large patches, so give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Sweetgale, Twinflower, Blue bead lily, and Paper birch.
