'Boom Boom Purple' dahlia (Dahlia 'Boom Boom Purple') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows about 43 inches tall and blooms in purple from early to late summer, and again in autumn. The flowers measure about 95 mm wide and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. P.K.J. Smits bred it in 2004.
