Notes
Bulltongue arrowhead (Sagittaria lancifolia) is a perennial for rain gardens, meadows, and low maintenance planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and moist to wet, sandy or loamy soil. Deer tend to pass it by. Arrowhead shaped leaves rise in a clump, and white flowers with three petals appear in spring and summer. Birds visit the plant.
Pairs well with Pickerel weed, Blue flag, Lamp rush, and Swamp milkweed.
