Notes
'Burgundy Queen' bougainvillea (Bougainvillea 'Burgundy Queen') is a shrub for containers, hummingbird gardens, and butterfly gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun. Young leaves are flushed with burgundy, then turn from bronze to green as they mature. Dark red blooms attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
Pairs well with Lemon verbena, Tuberose, and Lemon grass.
