Notes

Bush anemone (Carpenteria californica) is a shrub for borders, containers, and low maintenance or xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist soil of most types. The fragrant, glistening white flowers look like anemones and measure 2 to 3 inches wide. It sits low on the menu for deer. Do not overwater or overfeed it, because too much care makes it grow rank.

Pairs well with Olive, Madrone, and Mondo grass.
