Notes
California everlasting (Pseudognaphalium californicum) is an annual for borders. This plant likes full sun and dry soil of most types. It grows 12 to 36 inches tall and 12 to 24 inches wide. White and yellow flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. The blooms are fragrant and draw butterflies and bees. It is also drought tolerant, so it suits a low-care bed.
Pairs well with California poppy, Narrowleaf milkweed, and Heavy Metal switchgrass.
Native range
CA, OR, and WA.
