Notes

Carolina sea lavender (Limonium carolinianum) is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Small pale purple flowers open along one side of the stems from early to late summer. Butterflies and bees visit them, and the plant tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Big bluestem, Virginia sweetspire, and Inkberry.
