'Chocolate Wing' rodgersia (Rodgersia pinnata 'Chocolate Wing') is a perennial for shade borders, woodland gardens, and wet spots. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. It grows 30 to 36 inches tall and 33 to 39 inches wide, so give it room. Deep pink flowers open in early to mid summer.
Pairs well with Cinnamon fern, Burnet, and Quick Fire panicle hydrangea.
