Notes

Cusick's checkerbloom (Sidalcea cusickii) is a perennial for meadow gardens, wildflower plantings, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist soil. Rose-pink flowers age to deep purple on stems that can reach six feet tall. The plant stays narrow, so it fits at the mid to back of a border. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Blue flag, Purple top, and Snake's head.
