Notes

Joseph's coat (Alternanthera dentata) is a perennial for borders, containers, and cottage gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It spreads and grows at a rapid pace, so give it room. It also tolerates drought and stays evergreen in warm climates.

Pairs well with Bishop of Llandaff dahlia, Supertunia Vista Bubblegum petunia, and Lemon verbena.
