Notes
Devil's tongue (Amorphophallus nepalense) is a bulb for containers, shade gardens, and bold foliage displays. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun and dry soil. Large yellow-green spathes appear in spring on beautifully mottled stems. The bulb goes dormant by fall, so move the pot to a cool, dry place.
Pairs well with Dragon tree, Rose of jericho, and Cleveland sage.
