Notes

'Early Fuyu' persimmon (Diospyros kaki 'Early Fuyu') is a fruit tree grown for fresh eating and desserts in the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun. It ripens early and crops reliably in cool summer climates. It is self-fertile, so you need only one tree. The sweet orange fruit is non-astringent, and the leaves turn orange-yellow in fall.

Pairs well with Blueberry, Artichoke, and Italian cypress.
